I'm not sure what I expected coming to this thread

Is the color "lambo goldorange"? Nice choice.

It's no surprise to anyone that you ended up sending the frame back, but I would expect one to remember these kind of important details. At what point do you think FBs will just stop taking your calls?

And again I get judged without anyone knowing the full story...

HT length is a product of BB drop, ST length and fork length - these are all slightly different on each frame. Forgive me for not remembering all of them by heart.

I'm also not RattleCAD proficient, so the HT length was agreed based on what Sean told me - which was 8mm taller than what he built it with.

Is it wrong to expect a frame without flaws? I find it laughable that people suggested taking a file to a $3k frame when my Gaulzetti had clearance issues, and yet that is what a number of people on here suggested.

Aside from what Sean has owned up to, this frame from him came out of the box with 2 big chips and at least 12 other paint issues (some of which resulted in wheel insertion and alignment issues), not to mention the other things that were wrong with it. Actually I would have accepted the short HT on the basis, as oldmuthariley pointed out, that it only takes some spacers to sort; but the sum of all of the issues, plus the frame being over 21 weeks late, was too much for me to bother dealing with.

You didn't answer my question about lambo goldorange. It's one of my favorite colors.

Could be, although it was based on something marginally less glamorous:

Just been alerted to the thread happenings. My apologies to Rich as it seems while posting on my phone I had missed a chunk of text in the cut and past I tried. What was missed was that the frame had paint and design issues and should not have been sent to Rich. I take full ownership of the issues with the frame and have learned a lot about what I need to do to be a better frame builder. Rich was refunded his money so he can get on with get a rain bike sorted asap as I can not guarantee a delivery date with my health at the moment.

While your screen name is an alternative spelling of one of the best Miles Davis albums, I must say that this post is yet another example of the internet allowing people to say snarky, nasty stuff that most wouldn't say in real life if talking to an actual human. Uncool.

Might be good to see some other Devlin frames/builds if there are any pictures out there?
Rich's build looked potentially really nice but i suppose if your'e paying serious $$$ then you want the product to be top notch from the off.
