The last few frames I shipped were double boxed. That Della Santa likely didn't have a good brace
between the fork legs, and punctured the cardboard. I always build up padding around the bottom of
the dropouts so there is no chance it can come through the box.

Soon as my son returns with it. :)

They are out on a 500 mile round trip to our cabin on the edge of the BWCA and back.

    Due back tomorrow.

Sounds like the bike did great so far, with a Revelator Pika, twin Mountain bags and a Swift bag on the front for the camera gear.

Wish we could have put a little more tire on the bike, but it seems to have worked out fine.

The UPS truck parks at the end of our block to set up for on-foot delivery to the individual buildings. Having seen that operation day to day, no package can be packed carefully enough.

    Thanks. :)

My son was looking for a bike to join us on a couple of longer trips this summer.

He looked at some new bikes on the market, but then rode my friend's Della Santa.

Well, that ended that. When I saw this frameset available a half year ago, I scooped it up for him.

He is the "camera guy" on our trips this summer, so these bags should work great.

I'm using a generic ebay bag on the front until his fancy Swift shows up.

Could no longer tolerate waiting for the Sachs I had placed on order, soI cancelled it and ordered this baby in June. It showed up yesterday. :-)
Cannot wait to build it up.

Latest iteration of the DS. This time with some new FMBs on the Hyperons. Hoping to get a short spin in tomorrow before the rain.

It may be a bit heavy up the two small climbs but you can compensate that with extra power.

Yes, 20 watts instead of 10. Huge difference.
