1970's/80's Della Santa rumored to have been owned by Greg Lemond's sister.

This thread inspired me to finally purchase a Della Santa frame and I couldn't be happier. Just turned 40, and got this as my birthday gift:

Very nice.... Della Santa is one of the really great builders that doesn't get a lot of recognition.... Ride with a smile....

    Nice.

Wish we saw more of his stuff online - when I visited him a couple years ago he was still pumping out ~35-40 frames/year.

Beautiful! Yet another bucket list bike.

Buddy of mine had a Della Santa in the late 80's/90's, 'twas beautiful. Ridden, raced, beat on, cleaned, and done all over again. It never missed a beat.

Supposedly DS made a lot of LeMond's personal bikes for a long time, which were rebranded of course.

I can remember a slightly misspent youth spent ogling Della Santa frames hanging delicately on the racks at Bike Nook in SF. Good times, those.

I'll add mine to the pile here. Now fully built with Campy 11 speed. Mostly Athena with Chorus shifters and a square taper Record alloy crank. Wrapped up a 45-mile shakedown ride this morning, and it is outstanding. Roland knows what he's doing. Such an under-rated builder.

Beautiful bike! Definitely something I'd sign on for if I weren't already waiting for a Sachs... Paying for both would be impossible!

    But...is that a backwards Dura-Ace chain?

I only wish there was a "love" button not just a like button.

I think it is Cycle Art after 5 years Peggy's bike is still chip free and she has lots of miles on it.

Mine was painted earlier this year by Jim Allen at CycleSmith. Contact info is below. Roland seemed to indicate to me he's doing all the paint work for Della Santa now:
