I am quite happy with a bargain find and build using some parts I have lying in the house . Well , I borrowed temporarily from my Colnago Master . Me thinks , I can build the Master up later with something else or ride the De Rosa first and figure out what the bike needs.

It's a Replica 73 from what I gather, its made out of Columbus SL and SLX tubing with modern 130mm spacing .

Have you seen these guys riding De Rosas on dirt roads in the Dolomites? It's beautifull.. Just pretend no one ever said All Road Bicycles.
I came here for the socks.

Nice. Thanks for posting. I ride my De Rosas on similar surfaces every week, but without the benefit of the same views.

Also, I see now that I must restyle my facial hair if I'm going to continue to ride a DeRosa.

    Yes, beautiful, thanks for sharing!

Pardon the nitpicking, but this is the other end of the Alps (southwestern, i.e. Maritime and Ligurian Alps, just north of the French and Italian Rivieras). Dolomites are 500K away towards the eastern end of the Alps, southeast of Innsbruck.

    Here's mine :
King RS built with a mix of Sram Rival and Shim 5800. Great wheels : DT 350 (strainght pull at the front) + Dt Comp + 38 mm or Ksyrium SLR.
Deda RHM and San Marco Concor wide finish the build.

    WP_20160318_19_45_01_Pro.jpg

Very stiff bike, 15 mm shorter and 15 mm more drop than my Time

So rad. I had a friend with one of those. Always made me a bit jealous.

Thanks Matthew. Looks cool indeed and De Rosa geo is perfect for a race bike with very closed angles. Love the front of the bike (fork and headtube) --> my best descending bike so far.
But deserves a better group, hesitate upgrade it or sell it.

    Hi,
I need some help Derosa fans. Of the three bikes stolen from my garage last Thursday one of them was my Gaulzetti Corsa. It looks like the insurance gods are potentially on my side for once. I really liked my Corsa, I built it to be a B bike, but it was a solid A bike. Replacing a great aluminum frame is my challenge. So does anyone know anything about the Scandium? I know it is part of their Black Label program and is meant to be premium but not much more. Funny, but I will miss my Corsa more then the C60 and the Yeti.
    Thank,
    Bob

    Damn. Sorry for your loss!
I don't have any experience with the DeRosa Scandium, but I reckon the metallic purple paint alone is worth the price of admission.

Why not get another aluminum Gaulzetti?

Try emailing Andrea at Bellati Sport. Go to the contact us page. He is pretty knowledgeable about what's what from DeRosa. Or, visit the factory, I'm told. I've got rather a lot of De Rosa's, but no Scandium or Ti, sorry.

WrenchScience is carrying the Scandium. Their price is $3850. They list contact for their "De Rosa Team". Might talk to them.

Cicli Corsa is the best place to order a De Rosa from. Scandium to US is about $2,740 USD. 45 days, made to order.

Many thanks for the comments! Cicli Corsa and Bellati Sport are on my radar for a Derosa. I have ordered from Bellati in the past. If I could get a Gaulzetti Corsa as straight forward and as similar to my "lost" one I might. I guess what I'm looking for are the "living with it" experiences regarding a new Derosa. Fork? Headset race interfacing? BB issues? Paint? Dropouts, etc. Again I will say that the 7005 tubed Corsa fit superbly, rode very well and never had any issues, sigh.....

I'm not in a bad place at the moment, so I can weigh my (limited) choices for aluminum frames accordingly. Legend Giau anyone?

Thanks again for the comments and information,
    Bob
