Here's an old Super Prestige De Rosa in Giro colors. Another great bike I sold before a big move to Hawaii. She was fun, wild and sexy. I hope her new owner is treating her right.

I have for years yearned for a Primato. Is there a substantial difference with the NeoPrimato?

I though i would join in here with a couple I have built owned and ridden.

The first is a titanio, which unfortunatly cracked in a weld and was later replaced by this.

The steel was a lot more fun to ride. The titanio was rock solid and a little boring. The steel had its quirks, and I suppose that`s why I loved it so much. (Now sold)

You need what is called the static link for the image itself, rather than the link for the page the image is on. On Flickr, that's best done by right clicking the image and selecting the large (or largest) size from the "View all sizes" submenu that pops into view. Then once you have that sized image displayed, right click the image again and select "Copy image address" from the pop up submenu. That's the static address for the image that you enter here using the insert image button above the text entry box.

For the record, it is a King 3 RS custom... The parts mix is a little eclectic as it includes many of my favorites..Campy Record 10 shifters/derailleurs...Fulcrom RS crank for BB30 ...3TTT 26.0 stem/bars with trad. Merckx bend....Mythos saddle..Mavic brakes...Mavic Helium tubulars...Marchisio cassette...Elite 66.0 bottle cages...
DeRosas always are great riding/handling bikes and this one is no exception. I can't wait to get it to the mountains.

Yup, apparently it was a stuck seapost that the owner tried drilling out. The guy who sold it to me is going to take it back. It was wrapped with electrical tape and cat-eye clamps when I bought it.

I am not sure how deRosa does it. This is my fourth deRosa. All of the others being steel, this one marks a departure. Somehow, I find that deRosas have the greatest road manners and always handle 'just right"...They handle in a predictable mannerly way, but they aren't sluggish at all. Balance. Despite the fact that this bike looks nothing like my traditional deRosas, it has a very simar and familiar set of manners.....and that is a good thing. The whole project started at NAHBS Richmond with a conversation with Doriano DeRosa....whose presence there went almost unnoticed by most. He pointed out that the King was made two ways..standard monocoque and custom tube to tube. Externally they look the same. After the proper fermentation period, arrangements were made and the frame was on its way. This one has an oversized downtube and a matching BB30 BB....a tapered fork/headtube with 1-1/8 to 1-1/2 bearings that are hidden quite well by the OS downtube/headtube juncture...The one nit that I can pick is that the rear stay/dropout treatment does not facilitate quick or careless wheel changes and requires careful placement to avoid buggering things up, but my days of needing that type of wheel change have expired along with my draft registration card...Thanks to DeRosa for building me such a fantastic bike.

This is definitely one of my all time favorite bikes...the handling is quick and it seems to transfer everything into the rear wheel. The stem plug was done by Jen Green, who is just awesome. The frame was built by Ugo and, I suspect, was a Team Gewiss bike.

    EL OS goodness!

    ^^ Aaron,

I kick myself every time I see that yellow Titanio.

I hummed and hawed before the guy before you bought it, by the time I finally said " hell yeah, what's one more bike" it was gone.
