Very nice. I'm beginning to like champagne/beige colored bikes more and more. looks like a sport touring type design?

    yeah. sport touring.
    shimano 47/57mm brakes, 73* parallel.
fenders and rear rack shall be fitted soon. perhaps a slight trim of the steertube.
today was the first day riding and it's pretty damn nice. i'd like a larger tire on it too...when the current ones get a little more worn perhaps.

Long live horizontal top tubes and stems. A buddy I ride with has one exactly like yours from the 80's as well as a Ti version. His probably has 80K miles on it. Classic style never goes out of style.

I'm a big fan of Bill Davidson. Understated and classy all the way.

Nice bike. You need Bill to get your pump sprayed to match.

Bringing this thread up to page one.

    The build is complete!

I've been riding it on the rollers a bit because the days are short and the list of excuses is long but so far the fit feels great. Can't wait to get it out on the open road. Fizik handlebars feel very good compared to the compact Deda bars I usually ride. Ultegra 8000 derailleur installed to accommodate the big 28mm Gran Bois tires.

If this bike rides as nicely as it looks, I may be tempted to build up a set of nice aluminum tubulars just for the fun of it.

    JohnsIphone 073 - Copy (2).jpg

This one made its way to New Mexico in a trade for a Serotta Legend Ti frameset. Very comfortable long haul ride.
Not sure of the vintage but I believe it is from around 2000-2002 based on the groupset.
Easily fits 28's and would probably fit 30's with no issues.
Its got a triple and I'm not afraid to use it!
