I know where there's a brand new in the box 55cm Marcelo in the light blue "why not" scheme. PM me if you want the info.

    Default Red Turbo Question

    Hello RT,

I have been trying to have my Marcelo & Custom Team repainted by Dario, but have run into snags, mostly involving shipping. Did you actually physically take it to Dario, or is there an actual way to do it these days? And if there is (which would be nice) how much does it cost for a standard (Standard Dario) paint job + shipping?

    Thanks,

    Ricky

    Default Emma got 11

I installed the mixed 11 speed group yesterday. It was around ten years ago that I made the swap back to campy. I started with campy in 1987 but changed to shimaNo in 1990 with the purchase of an eight speed DA bike. In 1999 I purchased a MX Leader and just couldn't put shimano on it. I bought a chorus group with a record crank for the MXL.

I bought the same setup for Emma. Chorus drivetrain with a Record crankset. I kept the Mavic SSC brakes. The install wasn't that bad, I took my time and cleaned the bike as I went. The shakedown ride was cut short when I noticed the driveside cup backing out at the ten mile point. I removed the cups last night and after cleaning all the threads, I coated them with locktite blue and reassembled. The group performs well, especially with the 39/53 setup with a 12-27 cassette. Braking is better due to the higher pivot of the lever. Emma lost a little over a pound yesterday. In it's current setup with 36 spoke wheels and 25mm tires, it is right at 19 pounds. The red pedals allow me to use my winter MTB shoes. It gets Quattro pedals for the summer.
