The Cliff’s Notes - I was in Verona, hanging with Cristina and Pietro and the workers. I couldn't not be there and not order a frame. I told Pietro my saddle height and the reach range I prefer from saddle nose to handlebars. That. Is. All. I didn't spec a frame model, or tubing, or design. I received the Mxxxxxo with the Ciavete painting on the frame and fork. All very cool.

    More images over the weekend.

A non-lugged frame? That's going to be interesting.

Wow. That isn't much to go on as far as measurements. Obviously, you trusted the builders to know what they were doing! You're not a big guy, Richard, hope you like the ride of the Mxxxxxo.

I want one of those masks.

Yes, it IS enough to go on regarding measurements.
I only look at three in my transactions, yet take four or five.

From what I can get, you're not the kind of guy who has had a zillion of bikes, so this frame being the 3rd it's a very low number, if we consider the lifespan of your cycling.

Ya I'm not a traditional, keep lugs and steel alive kinda' guy. What I do for a paycheck isn't exactly my creed across all boards. Modern bicycles are beyond cool, especially the manufactured models. But I also am not wowed by riding this or that bicycle. Once I leave the driveway, it's about me rather than what I'm pushing forward.

e-R...did you know that the Bottega shipped a scratch and dent frame to you? I would refuse to ride the bike with a sewn on patch on the top tube. ;) On a more serious note, I read “Question Authority” as soon as I saw the ? graphic...one of my favorite statements...can’t wait to see this bike on the road.

    I would expect nothing less.
The little I knew about Dario, even though I shared a few days with him, he was a man that in his simplicity will keep you right there in your toes. I miss that challenge, I miss that "oh, fuck off, you won't do that because...."

I find it entertaining, ironic, comforting, a bit serendipitous of my top two choices for commissioned work; my first choice has bought from my second choice.
FWIW, my first choice in incoming. Working on my second.

    Gorgeous Richard.
