That looks great. Hyperons clincher or tubs? look like clinchers due to tyre choice?

Amen, Cary! I've been wondering when you were going to build up this beauty. Hope you enjoy it and when you have the time & motivation, I'd love to see a brief write up re: ride impressions, comparing & contrasting this with your BLE.

It's about fucking time! I hope you're insanely happy with it.

I forget - is it custom geo?

    Cary Ford,

How tall are you? My main riding partner is 6'7" and I have been trying to convince him for years that his bike could be improved upon. Yours is what I have in mind.

That thing is bad ass. I love it. Color is terrific. Build choices are equally terrific.

    Nice!

    Love,

I already chipped the paint bringing it home!
Hey, I could ride that! That's some good looking pink.

    I'm 6'4", about 195-198 right now. I don't know what size this bike is - it's custom. It's like a 59.5 x 59.5 with a 22.5 ht. (bb shell is stamped "59").

This bike rocks. Pure race bike. Think it and it does it.

To compare it to the BLE is to miss the point - two completely different bikes.

OT - The Campy 11-speed is incredible. First time on it. Makes the ten speed feel like five.

An excellent description, Cary. You should be a writer. (And I agree there's something almost platonic about Pegoretti's frames. I use those same words about my Love #3 - The more I ride it, the more I just think of it as "bike". It is what a bike should be.)

There's two frames left on my list. The Responsorium is one of them.

All we need now is better photos...

Also "new" owner's Pego gallery on the GitaBike site, some interesting stories/paintjobs if you click into each pic:

Ben Harper is a cyclist. Cool.

That is a cool gallery from Gita. Looks like a handful of bikes that are in the Carolinas, but somehow, I have not seen any of them. That Duende cross bike is pretty darn rad.
