This one is a keeper so i invested some time into a few changes:
    Record 10 to Record 11
    110mm +-17d stem
    all business

Had to get the obligatory clean chain pictures before taking it out to get dirty!

That shade of blue that Curt uses is fantastic. Love it.

yes, it has a lavender quality to it in bright light and a very lovely sky blue on these cloudy days. Its both a stunning color and a stunning ride. My bike lust is nearly gone, i have not made an offer on a new to me frame in over 4 months! haha

Luckily the bike far exceeds my photography skills. Schwalbe Pro One 25's running tubeless on Shamal Ultras. They plump up to 27/28mm. Crazy nice ride.

Facebook reminded me this happened not that long ago.
This Vsalon joint has afforded me association with some very fine people whom I might not ever have known. The awesome things some of you do blows my mind. This bike, the race, support from others is truly a gift.

Take nothing in life for granted. Everything is created from something.

Curt designed this bike for me to race at the Oregon Manifest Constructors Design Challenge 2009 OM. OM2

The bike was absolutely perfect for the challenge...it carried the required load elegantly, securely and with NO broken bottles, handling an very tough race course with lots of dirt/gravel :)

Also, carried during the race were fresh made empandadas...thanks Chris King and my roll of "party togs" for the after party. Yep, the custom rack attached to the top of the rear fender did the job extremely well. The "rules" stated that the bike should NOT handle badly with or without the load...check-aroo. Also, fenders and small lights were fixed. Race rules mentioned there could be some places where we'd have to carry the bikes...sooo Curt added a Jettube for the rear brake...LOVE IT and makes it soooo easy to sit on the TT and look cool at stop lights wink wink. Oooo the pump location is just shy of genius. Rock solid.

Not a big deal. Bottomline, this was one of the fastest bikes at the race with NO handling issues and manage all requirements super well. This my friends is all we need for 99.9999999% of the urbane travails any hardcore gentrified commie needs in order to cart their BS or go to the races and that my friends is having your cake and eating it too. A refined all rounder is no new feat pals, there are a number of VSalonistas with fantastic examples however few equal CPG he is dare I say??? A MODERN MASTER.

How is the ride? FAN-EFFIN'-TASTIC!!! I like a stiff front end, this bike has that. My preference is a slow steering bike that you can throw hard into turns, this bike does that. If the bike flexes I'll hate it, no problem there pal. Than there is the best part...it's steel and my friends NOTHING rides that nice. Flame on.

Data Point for you Weight Weenies===> My sloping TT (10degrees) Titanium Spectrum kitted with SRAM Red, 404s and DA SRM powermeter, DA Pedals weighs 19.3 lbs. The "heavy" old knuckle dragging massive CPG bike kitted the way you see it weights (drum roll please) 20.4 lbs. Hello?

Ok enough silliness, pics. and a YouTube. Please ask questions, this is a bike you need to own.
***Apologies for the pregnant steerer. For the race I had spacers under, this will get cut ASAP.
***Yup, my name is misspelled. Ask me if I actually care about things like that. Really ask me. Curt baby, drop and gimme 20 maggott. Over it. xxoo

Curt made this bike for me 5-6 years ago. I haven't posted it in a while. I've mostly ridden it with DT shifters etc.. Perfect. Recently built it up with record/centaur. Perfect.
check out the build pics, the bb detail is fantastic. Flickr

Nice Jim, that's a proper bike.
Worth re-posting my CPG road bike. Made to carry a modest load front or back and it does when asked. Great great great bike only made better when T.K. and Jeff added S&S so I could take it to Europe.
