Let me guess. A firm riding impression, but not harsh. A seeming contradiction between feedback and comfort? The hits round out and dissipate before they become bothersome, but give you a good sense of the road. Whereas the Time's primary sensation is comfort, but with sufficient stiffness to get the job done.

    time for a beer!

Certainly not to take away from the frame but have you ridden it with other wheels? LW's make every bike seem so smooth.

    Lovin' that Di2?

Hey Darren, I'm curious to hear your Time/Crumpton comparison. I have a Time RXR and my Corsa-M is due to arrive first week of November. I'd be interested to read your impressions of the Time and the Crumpton.

So how is Di2 in the sand?

Seriously though that bike looks great anywhere. Thanks for keeping pictures of hot bikes in front of us.

I saw a Crumpton in person yesterday while riding. It was top notch.

I've seen a few at a show once and I agree. To me, the overall look of the bike are as close to perfection as it gets. The photos do not do them justice.

Just built up a Crumpton SL which I bought off eBay (see http://www.velocipedesalon.com/forum...ine-18807.html). As mentioned in that post, the frame has had two previous owners but was never ridden, so I'm looking forward to putting thousands of miles on it.

The frame has a smoky burgundy tint and it looks amazing when the sun is shining!

    Uncle Jam,
Son it is time to talk about that bike some more. Boy howdy Nic didn't skimp on the chainstays!!! I can not stop saying this is the only carbon bike I'd ever consider.

    TT,

Here's an updated pic. I've been riding this bike pretty much every day now. Took it for a long ride recently with a few masters racers. Though they were faster than me uphill, I was able to shoot past them on a technical descent and the Crumpton performed flawless. It is stiff, comfortable, and very responsive. Perhaps it is a combination of longer chain stays with a shorter front center. And I'm really liking the 7.5 cm bottom bracket drop. Nick nailed it.
