All the Crumpton chatter reminded me that I'd not updated my pics with the final build. It's not a Corse-M but it is one of the few BB30 SL's.

The bike is about 1 year old and since the first pics earlier in the thread the bars, stem and seat post have been switched. Everything is now fully sorted. Also sporting a sweet set of Flux built Reflex/DT240 wheels.

    It's a helluva machine.

Ooohhh. It's my size! When do I pick it up?

Jes kidding, I love saying that stupid sh*t. Awesome bike - the anti-carbon side of me subsides when I see this bike.

    Enjoy...

Just got this from Nick today. Haven't had a chance to ride it yet, but I think that'll happen tonight! Oh and the wheels were built by Flux!

Having a bike that nice obligates you to upgrade your camera ASAP and post some proper photos.

Well, I do have a Canon EOS 5D except that I dropped my 28-70mm f/2 lens a couple of weeks ago. :-(
Maybe I'll yank out the 17-40mm and see if that'll do the trick...

Schweet! Is that gloss or matte finish? It's about time we had a new Crumpton in the gallery.

Matte finish. Some more photos, with the real camera... though it's a bit hard to take decent photos with the blazing sun out...

I just got back from the maiden ride and the bike is just plain awesome. I really had no idea what people were talking about when they described a responsive, stiff bike until now. Handling is great. Feels amazingly light. (I think ~16lbs fully loaded.) Accelerates fantastically. I love that bike.

amlai that's a sweet rig. The more you ride it the more you'll dig it. Seriously. I've had my SL since January of 2009 and a ride does not go by that I'm still not amazed.

    Default Crumpton - Storm Cloud

    Here's my new SL

I asked for matte so the clouds could be more life like than with gloss, and for the carbon pattern to show through in a subtle way on closer inspection. Nick accomplished all I asked, as always. Click through the thumbnail to look at details.

The goal was a bike I did not save for special days of good form, good routes and great weather. That policy left me riding a Crumpton too few days a year. Now I have one I can ride every day, any day, get dirty, climb, recover, pound, whatever.

I have a first generation Crumpton - very mellow feel. I have a first generation SL. Stiffer feel but still with a mellow edge. This is a second generation SL. Took me a few hundred miles to figure it out. I think I have: overall stiffer but with more of the original's mellow overlay, so it does not have that abrupt feeling found in bikes like the CX-1. I end up rolling one gear harder and thinking I can't be going fast but the speedo says I am. Takes me back to my original ZX1 vs. Crumpton comparo where the conclusion was: Parlee feels faster, Crumpton is faster (no parsing please, impressions are what they are).

15 pounds 6 ounces as shown. BTW, Handlebra tape, black with gray contrast stitching; great product.

A Crumpton with Di2 and Lightweights via FEDEX no less? You Suk. Nice bike. Dunno how you will top this one, but then again I thought that same thing about your last five bikes.
