A recent social media post from Hampco Towers reminded me that I had not shared this updated config. It's good to know I'm orbiting in the same Zeitgeist as the crew from Seattle.

If you want a lower position, have that head tube hacked down and install a Campagnolo headset. They have about 5mm lower height than King or comparable headsets. If Mr. Crumpton thinks the head tube can be reduced somehow and if you can install a Campagnolo headset, do it. Also, the standard 3T stems have a higher angle than Deda.

Yeah, I can actually gain a good 1cm with a Tune headset. Too lazy for that right now.

Dead are -8. 3T regular is -6 but this one is -17. From a visual point of view a Tune headset and a -10 stem would look good. But again this suits me fine right now.

Nick may also indeed be able to remove some of the head tube. I have not bothered asking that either.

If it works, ride it. That's actually all that matters at the end of the day.

Acetone and minor elbow grease will get those logos / red stripe right off the 3T stem. Would look better that way, IMO.

Just bend your elbows a bit more or something.
If you actually think this minor difference is measureable, you're nuts.

Darren, stop talking sense into him. He obviously needs a new Crumpton. And this old, out-moded, and ill-fitting frame needs to hit the classifieds ASAP.

Coincidentally, yes. It's my size within a few millimeters as a matter of fact.

But I'm not sure what you're getting at, my only concern here is Lionel's happiness.
