Default Chris Bishop / Bishop Handcrafted Bicycles

I am guessing a lot of you know Chris Bishop's work, but he has been killing it lately. One great bike after another. At least to my tastes. He seems skilled at blending aesthetics and pragmatic necessity (wheels in the right place.) Just saying.

I am taking liberties by posting one of his latest here (I hope he doesn't mind,) so do him a favor and visit his Flickr or website.

And how. There is a blue & green bike in there that is super sharp.

Here's a nice one. Hard to see in the pic, but the details make this a very interesting frame.

A new one from Chris Bishop. One of the cleanest road-looking 650b bikes I've seen. Really nice lines. And it is for sale evidently, by the framebuilder. I haven't even asked for any details. Just too dangerous.

You need this bike! It looks about your size, judging from internet photos in my memory. You will love the 650b/wide tires! Go Compass on those - 38s or 42s, extralight.

I made the mistake of clicking on Chris' Flickr page. I need to keep avoiding that...

Anyway, there was this photo which I assume is Mr. Bishop's take on the new Dura Ace dual knuckle rear D set up. Looks like he made his own first link and made it as the hanger.

    Thoughts? Additional info?

Firefly have done the same on a recent build. It's a carry-over from shadow mechs on MTBs - it makes perfect sense to me, and I'm sure the WeightWeenies would be all over this as a solution.

I'm not a WW, but I can't deny that if I were to run any of the R9100 or R8000 series groups on my Parlee I would like the ability to switch out the mech hanger for a dedicated one to suit the new rear mechs.

Bishop is about as good as it gets for me. I can burn hours flipping through his flickr page.

Hopefully in the next year or two I can justify (rationalize?) ordering one.

You should totally do it. Chris is a great guy and I'd love to see one of his bikes in Miami.
