2 months for paint?!??!?
I'm vacillating as we speak. Chris sent me some color sample books and the choices are endless with variations between colors being very subtle. I want some shade of light metallic blue with off-white or pearled white (matte or metallic?) panels bordered by pin strips to tie everything together.
But yeah....Ice Blue Metallic is on my short list....as is Aqua Metallic. But then there is.........!!
Chris is telling me that COVID has painters backed up....plus he's particular about who paints his frames. It seems that the guy he wants is very busy. I'm not complaining! Originally I figured 6 months to a year.....I sent my deposit in Febuary, so it's really only been about 5 months so far. I'll GLADLY wait for Chris's recommended painter.
To confuse you more...I am a big fan of Hero Blue and White (TK did my Spectrum in those. LOVE)....or check out a blue that Ford uses on F150’s and Mustangs called Lightening Blue. I think that Lightening one may be a version of the metallic blues that I am surmising you are into.
White with Blue is classy in my book. Especially when the blue really pops. It can also work well with a creamy white. ATMO.
Your bike is a beauty pre-paint as is. So I can only imagine...

UPDATE:
Campy SR group finally delivered, Bora WTO wheels expected by the end of the month. Everything seems to be on backorder status.

Paint to start on 29 October.
Chris expects shipping to happen second week of November.
It's finally here!
SR 12 speed mechanical
direct mount Cane Creek ee brakes
Bora WTO 45's
Vittoria Corsa 30's
A sunny, 60 degree 45 mile inaugural ride today. Quick handling, stiff drivetrain, soaks up rough pavement like a stretch Caddy with quick manners, stable at speed, lively, spirited....blah blah blah. Simply sublime to ride and to look at. Chris's lugwork and attention to detail is special to say the least. And he is a great guy to deal with. P1020337 (2).jpg

Beautiful!
Enjoy it!!
Man, just when I thought I knew what my next move would be... This bike reminds me why I had got so keen on the idea of direct mount brakes.
Man that is beautiful. Bishop is killing it.
And the wait is pretty reasonable if it turned out as perfect as it appears.
Enjoy!
