Incredibly beautiful to me, and doubly so because they make me recall the frames of Albert Eisentraut from the early 70s when I dropped out of college and raced my little heart out. We would go from Bloomington, Indiana (Go IU!, Fight, fight, fight) to Chicago and always stop at the bike co-op on Lincoln Park that carried Eisentraut's frames. Bear with me, because when you see the pic, you'll see where the Bishop frames MAY have come from. I'd be interested to know if they really influenced Chris, actually. I'd love to have a Bishop; best of luck with yours!

It's starting to look like a frame.

I spoke with Chris today about certain aspects of my build. In the conversation he did say that an early inspiration was in fact Albert Eisentraut.

Thanks for thinking of that; very interesting. I'm sure if one wants to go down the rabbit hole even further, you could trace that style to other, earlier builders in the UK or elsewhere.

A few details.....the down tube is round 35mm at the headtube and ovalized 37.3X26.1mm (essentially a COLUMBUS MAX OVAL) at the BB along with a tapered seat tube that is 31.7 at the BB and 28.6 at the seat top tube junction for a stiff drive train that uses a 27.2 seatpost for compliance.

The main triangle is together - with one of my heroes looking on....and another one of his outrageous lugs. OMG. And my wife claims that..."it's only a bike."

Saw that this morning - didn't put 2 & 2 together to work out it was yours. I think I actually exclaimed "YES" out loud when I saw it!

Shamal Mille, right @DCT? How is the brake surface looking after this kind of use?

    More progress pics........

    Direct mounts on the fork....
    thumbnail_IMG_7559.jpg

And a very cool chainstay bridge...
    thumbnail_IMG_7560.jpg

Decision was made today to spec Campagnolo Super Record 12 speed mechanical with eebrakes, Deda cockpit, Sella Italia Flite Boost TM saddle, tires TBD but Chris showed me clearance for 32c is easy. Now I have to nail the paint color and design!

That chainstay bridge reminds me of classic pedal cages... Nice execution.

The cutouts in the chainstay bridge coordinate with machining on the rear derailleur hanger and seatstay bridge. Chris is an artist for sure.

From what I've seen, either Chris or his painter are pretty good at nailing it.

But I am partial to a nice acid green-red shift paint job with sparkles.

That green-red shift is SICK! But I'm thinking some sort of metallic light blue......with white.......or pearlescent white......or light cream panels on the seat tube and down tube, and the panels bordered with pin stripe(s) that match the head tube badge color, decal color and fill color in the cut outs on the forks, etc. Oh, and stem painted to match of course!!
