    There have been a number of bikes made in the Gemini seating for two. The one that i was indirectly involved with were the Barrett Side by Sides out of Buffalo, NY in the early 1980s. My, then, boss got one for his direct help with the prototyping. My boss weighed 300+ lbs, his wife about 110 lbs... Andy.

    Ben- The Side by Side is only as unsafe as you make it. BTW the reason that the Corvair was so vilified was because of it's drop throttle over steer nature. Not what the average American driver was expecting given our under steering plows we drove back then. Funny though, in another car this tendency was not a reason to go to the legal system for help. Porsche had much the same handling back then. But then those cars were sold to enthusiasts who were more often in tune with their car's handling traits. Andy.

    Not so intrigued by the side by side thing, but I could see that chainguard idea resurrected and making an appearance at next year's NAHBS............
