    Default Headset for iPhone?

    Hi all,
I'm on the phone enough these days that I'd like to get a nice headset for my iPhone, which is my primary business phone. Wired is fine; I've tried a couple of the clip-on bluetooth ones, and never cared for them, plus the sound quality sucked.

Looking for great sound, both on my end and the other end, as my top priority, along with good comfort. Single ear with a boom, most likely.

    OK, serious answer:

I've been using the Harman Kardon BT Premium headphones. Surprisingly good audio, excellent call quality, and works great with the included cable when/if the battery runs down. Folds almost flat for travel. Decent noise isolation - good for in-flight or offfice use (active noise cancellation gives me a headache).

Not really appropriate for in-car use, but otherwise very, very good.

I am burned out on ear buds and jawbone type products - I don't mind carrying a bigger product that actually works. Plus, you look like a music lover instead of a cab driver or borg...

I've bought a lot of Plantronics products for my workplace and they are remarkably reliable. Sound quality both ways is good. Some can pair with multiple devices so you can transparently take PC, cell, or wired calls. We have been using the Savi 700 series lately.

For something simpler, I've been using a Plantronics Voyager Pro HD Universal Over-the-ear Bluetooth Headset, 85690-01. Very good sound on both ends. Bluetooth pairs very quickly and without interruption. Battery life is about 6 hours of talk time per charge as stated. However, it doesn't fit my small ears very well. If it fit better, I would be perfectly happy.

    then be happy now
for this day shall never return.”
