Default Steel Postmount bosses , any idea ?

Can anyone tell me where to get steel postmount bosses (similiar/compareable to the ones on the steel NINER frame) ? Or maybe anyone has an idea how to make them (especially the one which is nearer to the axle) ? Paragon has only titanium ones for the seatstay. So not exactly what i am looking for. Would like to mount them on the chainstay.

Thank you for your help ! Pete

    Paragon sells a post mount slider insert. www.paragonmachineworks.com - B4025BlackAnodizedLeftSideforFlatFlangedSlidingDro poutPostMountfor160Rotors

You could just get use some seatstay tube and weld that vertically on the chainstay to create your posts, then weld a nut inside each post.

But, why post mount and why locate it on the chainstay?

Thanks for the idea with the slider but its not really what i am looking for. I think i will try to figure something out of a pipe and a insert or something.
I would like to use postmount becaus almost every brake caliper manufacturer is doing postmount standard only. they are simply easier to adjust. I am not so into using adaptors and shims. The reason why it has to be on the chainstay is simple : When you put the "hydrauliccable" on the downtube its much cleaner and easier to connect it to the caliper and you dont need to weld in a tube which connects the seatstay and chainstay for more stability. You can use thinner seatstays for more comfort, and this causes also a little bit lighter frame.

Not sure there would be any weight savings with post mount. Paragon's Ti post style mounts outweigh the ISO mounts by at least 22g. Once you're using steel, the weight difference would probably be even greater. A KCNC aluminum ISO adapter runs about 12 grams. Just go with Paragon's low mount ISO dropouts if you want it on the seatstay.

They are nice made. Thanks for the information.

To answer Todd : You don`t save only the weight of the mount/adaptor but by putting the caliper on the chainstay you can use thinner/lighter seatstays. This will save weight, you don`t have to connect the seatstay with the chainstay to support it (without this your seatstay will not last long) trust me. So all together I think you can save at least 100 grams !
