    I buy a new Case every few months and pass the old ones down to the boys. I started with Canoes and then the Case Russlock and now the Drop Point Russlock. I think for the money, the Russlock is a hard knife to beat.

    Right on. There are a raft of old case pocket knives on ebay for short money. They make great gifts.

    I've had two Benchmade 710 Axis locks in the past 18 years and haven't found another knife that I like as much. I lost the first one to a LEO in Rocky Mount, NC in 1999 and I hope he's still using it.

    Thread bump...my family chipped in and got me this for a first father's day gift. Chris Reeve Sebenza 21. It definitely falls into the category of things made nicer than they need to be.
