My wife bought hot dogs from a butcher down the Shore last week and I think they've spoiled me for any packaged dogs from here on out.

That said, I like em anyway they make them. Will eat Chicago style when I'm home in said city, the half smoke from Bens Chili Bowl in DC, and just ketchup and toasted bun in my backyard.

I'm a fan of Vienna beef, poppy seed buns and that nuc-u-ler green relish from Chicago with some yellow mustard and if not that then chili cheese and mustard dog with enough leftover chili to mop up with fries. At home we usually do Hebrew National because that's the best tasting brand in my grocery case, but when available Vienna Beef is far superior.

In Portland we have some killer artisan sausage makers, who just happen to make fantastic wieners. I kinda like them made with pork and topped with chopped onion, pickles, spicy mustard a bit of grated cheddar, and some chopped green chiles.

In Upstate NY where I from they make a somewhat unique meat sauce spiced with cumin (no beans) and serve with chopped onions and mustard. Yum.

Love me a Hebrew national out of the steamer with mustard. Mt. olive is the best :)
