Wow - cool engine! Maybe check out the Panama Hotel - no idea about pricing but its close, cool, and historical.

Maybe chairs shouldnt be comfortable. At some point, you want your guests to leave.
Near the station...clean, near the Light Rail, King Street Station and the street gents of Pioneer Square...not sure about the $$$ in July.

Coworkers like the Max, the Sorrento, and the W. Pretty sure they’re more downtown than you want. You could go south of SoDo perhaps, the Georgetown Inn?

Hotel is booked, thank you all. I had intended to Train back to Vancouver after the event but my bride booked us on a flight back from Sacramento to Vancouver as she didn’t want me to miss the Whitecaps game on the (rare) Wednesday night.
I did marry up. No question.
Just as an FYI - train travel is a stupid bargain. Vancouver to Sacramento with a private room, meals and an overnight is still cheaper than the flight from Sacramento to Vancouver.
Does the Edgewater Inn still exist?
