2nd Bike out of paint and ready to be built
My second complete build is finally out of paint and ready to be assembled. I took this bike from scratch to paint myself, a real soup to nuts build i suppose. All steel and fillet frame with internal cable in the TT. RSachs drops and front Der hanger, they turned out nicely. A custom seat post mast topper, as well as painted ENVE stem and Fork. Floated all the graphics myself under the clear coat on my inkjet (need some more work on getting those to disappear better). I learned alot on this project and it feels like it has been a very long time coming to this. I will finally get to see someone riding a bike i built. I cant believe it.

Standard 27.2 seat tube with a cut post adhered inside, the topper was a month long machine and bench project at my snails pace , hand made lugs , some small brazing and I machined the hardware tube on my mill to accept standard Specialized hardware.

She's a beaut! Curvy in all the right places and that paint scheme is damn classy.
I know zip about paint. Did you start with a stock Enve fork and sand the clear off or is it possible to get an unfinished one and let it rip from there?
Re: 2nd Bike out of paint and ready to be built
Wonderful looking bike. What type of tubes did you use?
Re: 2nd Bike out of paint and ready to be built
Sanded the fork and stem (managing a body shop has its benefits) the paint is all water based automotive paint stock BMW colors. The front triangle is Columbus , the stays are Nova

Re: 2nd Bike out of paint and ready to be built
Very nice! I really like the color combo, it's similar to what I have planned for my first frame.
Do you have any build shots?
