Anyone know where we can pair up the announced winner to the bike with photo. Tony P had my mt. bike at the show but i can't remember if he had more then one mt bike there. a bit curious, of course.

I think it's kinda sad that this was awarded best of show. I could see it getting an award for craftsmanship, or concept bike, or something like that, because it is unique and extremely well made. But how many miles of riding will it ever see? IMO (which isn't worth anything, I know) a Best Of Show award should go to a bike that was actually made to get ridden, a lot. A bike people would actually want to buy and ride themselves.

Maybe there needs to be a "Best Concept Bike" category? JTOL

the cranks were non-functional as the pedal inserts had been stripped out by the factory. only "2012" I saw on the floor. much better in life than in the bikerumour pictures. hoods had a nice feel and the lever graphics were "ok".

The groupset is 2013 and only forty odd in the world. works really well with front derralieur now working in sll shifted positions. brakes are a bit softer than the previous model. Sram built up teo of our team frames for our press camp a few weeks back and took them off as soon as it was over.

I was blown away pretty much at every booth, but here are a couple of standouts for me:

    - The headbadge on the Black Sheep snow bike
    - DiNucci bare frame
    - bilam craft on Steve Rex's rando/light tourer

That's a gorgeous frame ...... understated at first glance, but each viewing reveals another sexy curve, line or touch...

I bet it will get ridden more than most of the bikes I see in my neighbor's garages.

I love that you're giving Tom Ritchey a hard time for Crocs (agreed) but that Gary Fisher gets a pass.

Is that not the one? RedKite had this caption below that very image: "This Cherubim was given Best in Show. For obvious reasons."

It'd be a full time job commenting on Gary Fisher's daily attire. I figured at this point it's just assumed the cat is gonna be dressed to the elevens...Tom is less "seen". I respect TR hugely though, and would love to have a bike with his name on the downtube in my collection.
