I'm just wondering how many of our vSalon brethren are in the bag just about now.
And thank you Darren for the great pix!
I had 3 Blue Moons and got a little buzz going. Then I took off because I'm hella tired and will be for days to come with work coming up in earnest. And I'm outta here early tomorrow morning. The others I was with had one or two beers. Pussies.
It was awesome meeting everyone and seeing all the bikes. 'Til next year!
so many awesome photos already, thanks fellas. living vicariously.
p.s. those speedvagens. . .
. . . and pegorettis. ah. I'm so fukin predictable, but I know what I like. zank, richie. looking great guys.
Anyone happy to know who built this? Or anything at all about those lugs?
Pictures of my booth that I took:
NAHBS has a professional photographer taking pics of one bike from each booth at a free service to the builders. The picture of the abalone bike came out AMAZING. Thank you NAHBS!
Show bike #2
So far so good. I feel like I haven't been able to talk to anyone yet, but Austin is good.
@ Tony Maietta -Is that an abalone inlay on there? Nice. Very nice.
a bit of Santa Cruz, and Big Sur
Todd of Black Cat
Stupid of me to open this thread. Now I'm even more bummed to not be at the show.
Fights begin, finger prints are took, days is lost, bail is made, court dates are ignored, cycle is repeated.
Thanks for the flickr links; great photos Darren. Wish I was there with yins.
I have a serious question though, what is the deal with the ISPs on the serotta prototype as well as one of the Hampco bikes? It seems like it would defeat the purpose without the seat topper and still using a regular seatpost instead? Can someone in the know comment on this choice? Was it to retain better height adjustability?
Memorables for me: Signal, Eriksen, I-fab, Ellis, Zancanato (pantographed chainrings? Phack yea!) and of course the usual suspects: Kirk, Strong, Vanilla workshop, e-rich.
1. yes darren, you're the man AND the photographer, thanks so much!
2. lots of green this year - i love it
3. is dave k's booth display wall the inside of his shipping crate? if so, he could offer those as a new product line, nice.
Wish I was there.
Some very nice workmanship and wonderful pictures..
But in a way my wallet thanks me as I'd come home with something.
"Mom can we keep it? PLEEEEASE???????!"
Anyway the road and the cold morning air call and out the door for a club ride..............
