can a non wheelbuilder (AKA a moron like me) replace a spoke myself in an Enve carbon rim?
is there a special tool required for the internal nipple?.... guessing yes.
Thanks O wise ones

Found the tool reqd., going to give it a go..... how hard can it be?![]()
If you've got the tool, you can do it. If they're bladed spokes, make your life even easier with something to hold the blade.
Get a new nipple to go with the spoke.
Maybe your LBS will have one or call ENVE, they are made by Pillar.
Good luck.

Park tool ordered, spokes ordered (love the Enve website for the spoke infoe), additional nipples ordered. bummer that my tire is held on with tape..... ooh found my Sapim bladed spoke holder gizmo too.... game on!
Thanks guys
Man, my ownership of a set of cane creek wheels with bladed spokes made my extremely averse to any non-standard nipple arrangements. I suppose internal isn't quite as bad as at the hub.
So the quest came to an abrupt halt when I purchased a Park SW-16.3 internal nipple wrench, the hang tag was marked as 16.3 and so was the butt sticker (?) however the faint stamp on the driver head was 6mm. So it was 6mm and not 3/16... doh! Sent a sarky note to Park Tools and they are sending me a replacement gratis...... good customer relations IMHO.
So the demise of my wheel has been postponed..... for now.
