I am covering the room cost boss. $200 off the regular camp price is in consideration of being 1 mile away. Of course you COULD claim bonus miles riding back and forth ;)

Boy that (above) was clear as mud. ;)

Offsite housing is avail. we have 4 out of 5 rooms left. Single occupancy offsite TOTAL camp cost is Here >

OK TK - I heard from a grower Kona. The other grower had a small harvest and is not selling any green. The Kona grower will sell green beans, either peaberry or organic. They say it will roast well in medium or dark. They cannot answer the question on screen size, stating that they use industrial roasters and don't mess with screens.

I can't wait to try whatever type of coffee is being dispursed by the barista.

You are making me crazy and it's months away. That coffee last yr. you sent was mighty fine. I'll have two real nice French Press at camp. Good call , a medium rost works nice and has higher caffeine from what I understand and THAT is def. not a bad thing ;)

You, TT, of all people, are not wanting for tasty stuff on your palate. I think the medium will be better with a Kona - it has a light flavor that often does not hold up to too much roast. It needs to be brewed correctly to make the flavors pop out the right way. Because it is lighter, it is really easy to drink black as well. Up to the guy in the barn to choose his poison.

will generally give a bit more pop since it is the same coffee from the same plants, just that the formation of the beans within the fruit leaves only one seed instead of two that flatten against each other. The plant seems to pack somewhat more flavor into peaberrys. It is just a matter of sorting them out. Because most plants don't produce very many peaberry beans, they also tend to cost more. We'll appreciate anything we can get from the islands. Beggers can't be choosers.

Ps. screen size is just a description of the size of the beans. My drum roaster can't roast below about a #13-14 since tiny little beans will simply fall through the drum holes.

He's also doing R&D with the pulp -- potential frame material. Bamboo is for novices.

    Default Reality bites

    ... sometimes.

First snowday of the season today. The kids think its awesome.

I think it sucks. Probably won't be riding on the road again for awhile.

Oh well. Sometimes one needs that kick in the pants to look ahead.

    Here's to spring. I'm in baby !!!

Question OK, so last year ...

we did a short seminar on crank mounted power meters for all the little campers. I'd like to hear what some of '10 campers might want to learn about this spring while drinking all that coffee.

    Possible topics:
    - Tubular theory and practice.
    - Wheel building theory.
    - Frame alignment, what makes a frame straight and why it matters.
    - Frame materials (I know, this has been beaten to death)
    - Fork characteristics that matter.
    - Basic maintenance tricks.
    - What else would you like to hear the big guy and the little guy talk about ... or would y'all prefer us to just shut up?

I'd be particularly interested in learning on some

    1) Wheel building
    2) Fork stuff
    3) Basic maintenance tricks
Fights begin, finger prints are took, days is lost, bail is made, court dates are ignored, cycle is repeated.
