it would be a real treat. When you speak with her, ask her what roast they recommend; City, City+, full City, etc. Generally, low altitude island coffees are pretty touchy and difficult to roast since the beans can be very small and not make much sound if any during the first crack. The other problem for me is that some of the best Kona coffees have VERY small beans, like a 13-14 screen. My drum roaster can't go that small. Let me know what she says. Woo Hoo!

ps. Storage of green beans is no issue since they don't go "bad" for many months as long as they are green and they are stored properly.

Looks like it's down to five as of today. Record pace to fill.

Akkk. Why is Cohutta the Saturday at the end of that week?
Want to do both. Sure would make for a huge spike in the PMC (and a rather slow day doing the 100).

We have *two single occupancy spots left. Just got one FatMan signup BOO YAH we like that and rumour has it he's bringing cheesecake :)

*I will update the website this am 11/11/09

Folks if we fill all single occupancy that does not mean some of you can't double up. We like a small camp however if pals agree to split a room we will let some do that. Contact myself direct before sending a deposit so we can talk about what rooms are best suited for this.

Spring Camp 2010 will be EPIC :)

Driving? It would not break my heart if a few bagels from H&H fell into your basket ;) I'll make some smoked salmon spread...just in case.

Let me suggest a name change to make it a bit more appealing ... smoked duck and almond butter. OK?

Seriously, when you need fat and protein, quick-like, it does the trick like no other.

I will be driving, and it's possible that I will drop by H&H on the way to the Lincoln Tunnel.

A bottle of Lagavulin might also make the trip.

    Thumbs up Holy Smokes!

That was fast. Must be something to this camp thing. I guess I am going to have to make up another batch of sauce, talk June into a couple of cakes and score a bunch of exotic green coffee beans. Wadda' y'all think?

Peanut Butter and Bacon Bagels is the #2 recipe in the Paula Dean repertoire. #1 is the cheeseburger between 2 Krispy Kreme donuts.

People who eat that don't survive camp, I hear.

Thanks Dave, we try. Hey that picture you posted. It's giving me a heart attack just for looking.

Paula Dean might have been the ghostwriter for "The White Trash Cookbook" which I have a copy of ;)

Well, it's a lock. There will not be a headwind on any of the camp rides!!!!

Just like I had to try a deep-fried snickers when I first saw one, I have to try one of these.
