Default Save the date! Los Angeles (West Coast) Forum ride...

    Hi all,

Seems like Sunday, October 11th is the best date to hold the West Coast Forum Ride.

And, I have some great news! Tom Byrnes has graciously offered the use of his beautiful backyard for the after ride meal. Tom lives on the Westside of Los Angeles (Rancho Park), close to Beverly Hills and Century City.

We will start the ride from his house (plenty of street parking) and head south down the coast. We will have a short break in Malaga Cove (in Palos Verdes) followed by a nice bit o' climbing around the Palos Verdes golf course. If we still feel like doing a bit more climbing after that, there is plenty to be found in Palos Verdes.

Tom Byrnes, Jack Brunk and I will be supplying all the food for the after ride meal. All we ask is that you supply whatever you would like to drink (adult beverage or otherwise).

More details to follow as we get closer.

Looking forward to meeting all of you!

    Steve

its prolly better to characterize 'golfcourse' as a 7 minute ride around a ravine that has a golf course in it, rather than as a climb.

just so folks that maybe are coming from a long way don't get worried about it. it can be done seated in the 53 in minutes... or in the small cookie in full conversation and sans any grunting or breathing hard.

    and maybe that's the point...?

    sounds fun....

Yeah, thats the point, to have fun...

Join us if you want to have fun, Swoop.

    Just sayin'

    Steve

PS: If we feel that we haven't had enough "climbing" in 7 minutes (it may take other people a bit longer in smaller chainrings...not all of us are "Swoop"), we can always do other loops. Its open for whatever people feel comfortable doing...But, its mainly a social ride.

I will try to make it.

But I'm determined not to have any of this so-called "fun" I'm hearing about.

Tom (False_Aesthetic) wont be the youngest then. I think the 2 of you have a lot in common. Even if you cant make it for this event, we should all get together and ride...
