In the spirit of this past weekend's Eddy Merckx appearance in Jersey, where several VSalon'ers went (but nobody knew each other), how 'bout we put some faces to names and meet up next Saturday (weather permitting) for a cruise up to Nyack? Pace: steady, mellow. We'll cruise up scenic River Road, then 9W to Nyack to the Runcible Spoon for coffee, etc.
If we're up for it and there's consensus, we could always modify the route, go longer (Rockland Lake loop, or even Apple Orchards) and anyone can turn around early if time constrained, etc. Main ride criteria: have some fun, solve world problems.
For those in NYC, we will DEPART at 7:30 a.m. at the park bench directly across from the Central Park Boathouse. From there, we'll head to the GWB and meet at the Jersey side meeting spot (it usually takes me about 40 min. +/- to get to the other side, without rushing or too much traffic).
We will DEPART from that Hudson Terrace meeting spot at 8:30 a.m., heading down Hudson Terrace on the newly-paved bike path towards the River Rd. entrance.
Note: for those driving in Jersey to meet the group, there's plenty of parking up & down both sides of Hudson Terrace.
Cross streets along Hudson Terrace are Merkle St., Sylvan St., and Lincoln Ave. (zoom in and scroll a little bit south on this map link, you'll see the streets). If you click on "Satellite" view you'll see the street and parking locations exactly. Just get to Hudson Terrace and you'll see people milling around. Several groups meet at that spot.

Here's exactly where we will meet on Hudson Terrace--look at the picture link, where the cyclist is right at the base of the GWB north side pedestrian footbridge path on Hudson Terrace (this google streetview map thing is amazing).

Ok, so who's in?
