Those boys know how to have a good time! I'm hoping Doc clears me for this.

This event sounds great and I might have to try to make a road trip. Any chance there's a course map somewhere?

Damn that was fun ! Thanks to the Lone Wolf guys for a great ride. A little road, a little cross, a little MTB and a little locomotive - my arms feel like noodles after the train tracks on a cross bike at 50 psi. Shoogs - think I met you out there - I was the old guy on the Van Dessel in the red jacket/Pure Energy kit. Guessing you are the guy with the broken titanium plate in his clavicle. Wouldn't have known the ride if you didn't post it here on the Salon. Grazie.

That hurt! Fun as hell and an interesting way to pop my 'welcome back' cherry. First ride since early Sep and I'm learning not enough trainer time, lol.
Yes, broken plate on my clavicle, that's me. We rode the road for a piece, iirc. BTW I rode a Rigid SSMTB at 30 psi, and I'm just happy I'm not pissing blood after those sections! Can't imagine being on cx tires...

I can't take the credit for posting, though I'm glad it was posted here, that was Dude.

Definitely had a good time. Not sure if I rode with either of you but took a couple photos along the way. Hoping to get some GoPro action up tomorrow.

Shoogs- bummed I missed you! I was out there on a SSCX bike. Oh the pain! After a tough year in the shop (without much riding except the commute) it was a good way to kick my self in the pants and get inspired for more in 2013. I didn't manage many pics along the way...
    first bike home:

the 'smooth' section of the rail...

    beverage stop #1

    before the cramps set in:

the crew from NYCvelo- flat tire change pre- railroad action:

this guy decides to race the whole thing and comes home first- no small feat:

All in all a great time with awesome people on some wild terrain. I'm happy to have made it out. Great way to start 2013 for sure.
