The whole month's worth of weekends looks pretty booked for me. If I can make any weekend at all, it would be the last weekend. Ghent-Wevelgem is that Sunday, March 28.
I'd like to meet up for a ride. Either of those dates are good for me.
I'm in.
I'll do either or both rides.
you can spend the next couple of weeks thinking about a new & improved sign for a group photo.
here's your template:
oh by the way, requisite dress will be denim-colored lycra tights. man-boobs optional.
I would say my schedule sucks (because I will just miss you guys) but I am hoping to give TT and the Queen a smooch before they head over the pond on that day, and that NEVER sucks! I will be in NYC the week before (with a Greenwich beer run to see Darren-mo)---Just missing this adventure. I still get giddy when I think of running in Central park....
i live in nyack, and would be down to ride back on sunday perhaps. thats the day after the grants tomb criterium so cut me some slack.
Assuming I get my bike back together, I'd be down with a Nyack ride that weekend.
How hard to you guys ususally ride when you go out? Thinking I might get killed.
don't worry, we'll be connected with a bungee cord in case someone's feeling frisky.
Believe me, I tried. After climbing over 5 trees I decided to go back (needing again to climb over 5 trees).
Right now it's a good cross course.
Edited first post & updated ride schedule.
1) Saturday will be Westchester/Greenwich area ride, with post-ride coffee & snacks (we will bring a bunch of the best NYC bagels in town) at my wife's shop on East Putnam Ave. (near the top of Greenwich Ave.). Will need someone to take the lead on plotting a nice course, because I don't know that area at all. Time of departure would best be around 8 or so. Post up suggestions on this ride if you've got 'em!
2) Sunday ride will be NYC area--similar to the last event a few months ago. I tried riding River Road this a.m., but it's a no-go. Fenced off and full of debris.
Rain cancels both. If misty/light drizzle, well, we'll have to wing it & see....
Post up if you're interested & PM me with any questions!
Cheers.

Damn I wish I could make this.
Great plan Jim. Sounds like a great time.
