Default Gloucester GP Registration opens soon !!

This is a double from across the way, but I thought it was important....

Registration for this great cyclocross event (Race dates are October 3 & 4) will open soon.

    Keep an eye on BikeReg.com.

Last year some folks from both forums got shut out or almost got shut out and I don't want to see that happen again.

It is my understanding that a new format for staging will be used this year and not order of registration.

But that doesn't mean that many categories won't sell out !!

I am once again acting as the Home Hosting Coordinator so if any out of town folks are in depserate need of housing (and not just looking for a freebie) we are expecting to be able to accomodate about 20 racers or so.

If you are traveling and need Home Hosting, e-mail me at bruce@gpgloucester.com and I will try to help you out.

If we're lined up beside each other it will mean I have managed to prove my MD wrong and that the herniated disc in my neck is not an issue after all.

Racing or not, the first round's on me.

Officially called the Great Brewers GP of Gloucester.

Just a few days until registration opens !!!

    Don't be shut out.

If you need home hosting contact me early at bruce@gpgloucester.com as so far we have fewer homes than last year.

The list of brewers showing off their stuff in the beer tent is:

    Victory
    Sierra Nevada
    Magic Hat (my favorite)
    Boulder Beer
    Cape Ann (local in town)
    Smuttynose
    Frosty Knuckle
    Wachusett

Hope to see lots of Salonistas there!

If that lineup doesn't get Darren there, I don't know what will.

Well, maybe Dogfish Head would have helped.

Magic Hat #9 is my favorite from that particular list.

I tend to drink a fair amount of the Mercury Brewing products when I drink beer - supporting cycling freinds and locals.

I should wear a HRM to find out what zone I'm in when registration opens for these things.

914 entries - Cat. 3 Men is almost full for both days (about 10 spots left each day).

Richie, this looks to be the biggest M55+ field ever in these parts. It will be fun.

Bruce, I know 3 riders coming from Portland that need housing. Do you have room for them anywhere at this point? TIA!

    Probably.

Housing goes on a first come, first served basis and the only requests I have are from 3 Euro riders and their "support staff".

Have your freinds contact me through the e-mail address and I'll try to work some magic.

I will need to know total number of folks in the group(s), male/female mix, arrival and departure dates, and any food or pet allergies that might be an issue.
