Unfortunately, my SO and I have reviewed dates and schedules and unless some small miracle occurs, he won't be joining us at the Ramble. :(
It sounds like I will have a pal or two along with me though. Should be fun! (Not as fun as my SO...but what the heck)
I am starting to polish up my bike for the Ramble. Its 30 days away. But its been so long since I signed on, there has been so much threading back and forth, forum to forum and all. I am starting to think: "Do I need to bring more than one bike?" "Three Bikes?" "Get out and ride another 45!". And so forth..
I've got my Sleeping bag ready, my bottles, my partial pink jerseys, my road maps. I haven't been to the Finger Lakes since 1959 when we raced Lightnings. Guess we won't see those. But "HOW many bikes?!"
- Jon :-)
Anyone going in/out of Rochester interested in sharing transportion?
couldn't keep me away. Might just bring the beater bike too, so it can rub bars with some of the nobility that's coming.

Due to new plans I'm not able to make the Ramble. Before I cancel my room at the Finger Lakes Inn I thought I'd see if anyone needs it. It's a King Bed non smoking room @$74 per night for Fri, Sat, and Sunday nights. I'm certain you could cancel one of the days if needed. PM me if interested.

Folks,
We have received the Finger Lakes Ramble jerseys and I have set aside those for the people who have pre-ordered. We have some extra and I set up a private link here:
http://www.houseind.com/index.php?pa...y=finger_lakes
They are made by Woolistic and run about a size small. I have sizes Small through 4XL. Please write or call with questions.

I'll be posting updates with details about Ramble rides and "events" aka dinner at my house.
But the great news is that Rich made the Ramble jerseys and they are beautiful. Get a Ramble jersey if you aren't coming because they are so damn cool and worth every nickel.
We'll also have some fine ball caps with embroidered logos, not to be missed:
*Hampsten: navy blue with the pink cinghiale and hampsten cycles on the back
Look here for the recipe: http://italianfood.about.com/od/furr.../r/blr1449.htm
*Cycles Tournesol: black with the headtube logo in yellow/red, ct on the back
These come without dents, despite recent crashes.
*Curt Goodrich Cycles: khaki, with the famed CG ht logo on the front
You will meet The Man hisself if you come.
The hats themselves are from KC Caps and they look All That. Some reasonable price (tba) and available too after the Ramble if you write to me and there are any left from this batch. More CyclesTournesol tee shirts too 'cause I like'em...
See you in a few weeks.

Our usual mechanical genius Craig Smith will be away the weekend of the Ramble. So should you need to ship a bike, it would be best to send it to my home. If you have any questions, no matter what you need please drop me a line.
I'll post details of the ride schedule for Friday, Saturday and Sunday in a day or two.
If anyone has counted souls, please let me know. It's not so critical for the rides but we're trying to arrange dinner so a head count, well, would be helpful.
If you need anything or have any questions, please drop me a line: dbrk@frontiernet.net
and check back here for updates. All goes smoothly.

Anyone interested in car pooling from So. Jersey/Phila area or willing to pick me up coming north from the DC area?
I'm willing to help pay for gas/tolls or use my ez pass.
I'm looking to go up Friday morning early.
Please send me a pm if you're interested.
Thanks,
Bob
My tummy's full of curry after a nice ride with dirt this morning and I've got nothing better to do, so I culled the following list from this post and this and that one across the hall. Sorry if I left you out or misspelled you name. Looks like 70+ including significant others and friends.
