    Default DC area Flanders Viewing

Songline and I were chatting, and thought it might be grand for us to get together and watch Flanders on April 4. Versus just picked up coverage from 5-7p.

So, PM me if you'd like to join, my place is in Alexandria (Yellow line convenient, easy access off the Mt. Vernon trail, parking available).

Particulars arent hashed out, but if you have a folding chair to bring, that wouldn't be too bad. My place is cozy, but we should have enough room.

Hey, Cody, you know I'm there!! As we've discussed, I'm happy to help with logistics, beer, food, money - whatever's needed to help make this a success (except extra chairs - don't have any of those).

Definitely looking forward to this! Thanks very much for your gracious offer to host the event. It's gonna be a lot of fun!

In the future I might be able to host live viewings of races with coverage on cyclingfans. If they have it, I can show it on 50" of pioneer plasma. Paired with an early ride - it might be a fun way to spend a Sunday morning.

Do you think you can make the Flanders viewing?

I hope to, but have family comitments that might preclude it (much like saturday, unfortunately). I put it on the calendar, so we'll see.

I'll put in a tentative. Can bring food, beer, chairs, etc. Sounds like fun, but not sure on the scheduling yet.

Whoops! Did realize it was easter too...

The offer, of course, is still open, but we can plan on another viewing later in the season.

Anyone interested in doing this ride on the 11th of April? Paris Roubaix is the same day, and comes on at 6p. I could always TiVo it and we could watch it when we get back, which shouldnt be much later than 6 or 7p.
