Change of Date (again) Save the Date! West Coast Forum Ride
Hi all,
This time we have a date that WILL NOT change. Sunday November 1st.
The ride will still start from Tom Byrnes home in Cheviot Hills (Just south of Century City and West of Beverly Hills) and end in Tom's lovely backyard with food catered from Bay Cities Deli. I have it on good authority that Jack B will be pouring some nice Italian wines for the occasion. If you want anything else to drink, please supply it yourself (adult beverage or otherwise). Jack, Tom and myself will be taking care of the food.
I think a 9:30 AM arrival and a 10:00 AM leave will give everyone a chance to get to Tom's house and get ready to ride.
As the date gets closer, I will add a final thread for everyone to RSVP.
Sorry again for the inconvenience, but life sometimes does get in the way.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns either via PM here or at Local399@aol.com. You may also call me at: 310-880-1900
Thanks!
Steve

Extended So Cal Gathering
Pete McKeon will be travel across country and join us for our November 1st gathering and ride. Pete will be arriving on Thursday evening, so there will be informal rides on both Friday and Saturday, also. Probably take him up PCH towards Trancas and Pt. Mugu and maybe up Piuma or Encinal.
On Monday, November 2nd, Jack Brunk and I are going to ditch our work responsibilities for three days (Nov. 2-4) and head up to the Santa Ynez-Solvang area with Pete to: (1) sample a few reds; (2) eat great food; and (3) ride our bikes in that beautiful area. There are no bad rides in that area. Just view some of Pete's photographs from our three Hampsten Spring Classic Cycling Camps.
We hope many of you will be able to join us.
I will soon contact the Skyview Motel in Los Alamos, the bicycle-friendly and inexpensive motel where we have stayed with the Hampsten Camp each year and reserve some rooms. Please let me know whether you can join us and I will make a group reservation.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
Tom
