seems like an awesome frame, but from what i can find, more of a versatile road bike than an actual cross, does this sound right to you?

I am pretty sure Thomas Frischknecht won a few cross races on a swiss cross...I am not sure what is different in a more "modern" cross frame.

The SwissCross was made as a cross specific bike. Having said that, all cross bikes make a versatile road bike.
