    Default SRP Crank Bolts

Anyone have any SRP aluminum or Titanium crank bolts?

Looking for a bit of bling and to save a gram or two on a couple bikes I have with square taper BBs.

I think that I have some Ti bolts that I no longer use. I will check my parts bin.

Boss they are a bad idea. If you use either you'll need to install first using steel bolts than remove and replace with alum. or ti and use loctite...and pray on it. The alumin. jobs can not take much torque at all and the ti bolts will not properly torque.

Take the A train, it's a better ride.

I know they are not strong. Cranks need to be installed first with the original equipment steel bolts. No question about that.

But I have used some Ti and even Al bolts for years with no problems. They are tightened for security, but not to install the cranks.

I have a set of Ti SRP bolts on my mtb. I have been using them for about 10 years and have only used them to install the cranks. They have never come loose. Are they any better than steel bolts? No but they do look nice.
