Shoes: Rocket 7, Lake, DMT, Sidi

A local gym near me had a bike shop that they closed a while back. They still have some leftover inventory NIB—below are the shoes. All shoes are $80/pair unless noted below, so I made a list of the ones that I thought would be of most interest to folks on the salon. If you’re interested, send me a pm with the style & size. Since I don’t have the shoes, I’ll have to pick up them up next weekend. Also, since the shoes can’t be returned, please make sure that you ask for the right size, etc. If you already own a pair of any of the shoes listed below and like them, this is a cheap way to get another pair.

As I mentioned in the PMs I've received, the shoes are all in storage at the gym, so I'll take everyone's indications of interest (first-come-first-served) and will go back next weekend to confirm that they are still there (should be, but you never know) and make 100% sure that what's in the box is what's listed on the box, etc. If so, I'll PM to confirm that you still want them, and then I'll buy them and then we can sort everything from there (payment, shipping, etc.).

All of the shoes are new in boxes, and my guess is that the shop purchased them for the most part in '06.

Interested in trying the DMTs-- does anyone have any experience with them vs Sidis? If I run a 44 in Sidi, will 43.5 DMTs work?

I wear a 44 in Sidi, and 43 in most everything else. The Sidi's fit like gloves. I have a pair of the Flash's in 44 that I got before the Sidis. They have a slightly different last, and more room in the toe box. I found that they fit best if I replace the stock insole with a slightly thicker aftermarket insole. Out of curiosity, I tried on a pair of the 43.5's tonight and there wasn't quite enough room lengthwise for me. If your 44 Sidi's are a bit roomy, the 43.5 DMT's might fit. Otherwise, I'm not so sure.

As another point of comparison, my next favorite shoes are the Specialized's in 43--I think they knocked off Sidi's last, but gave a bit more room in the toe box.

I could send the 43.5's to you and you could see what you think.
