FS: Carl Strong steel F/F/HS

Up for sale is my Carl Strong custom blend steel road frame. I've been half-heartedly trying to sell it, but it really needs to go to help pay for the Parlee.

The seat tube is 62 and the top tube is 58.

Built in 2005, it's Carl's custom blend, mainly Foco in this case.

Deep gray with some great ghost flames. Has the case pewter headbadge.

Paint is in excellent shape. The one notable imperfection is from a dropped chain on the chainstay. It took a chunk of the powdercoat but did not hit metal, and of course is all but invisible once a crank is on. Otherwise, nothing out the ordinary for a 7 year old bike, never crashed.

Including Chris King headset and Ouzo Pro Lite fork. The steerer has not been cut.

Asking $1000 + shipping. For comparison, a new frame is $1800, plus fork (~$400), headbadge ($200) and custom paint ($200) puts the new value around $2600.

I'm 6', with the inseam of a much taller person and the torso of a slightly shorter person. If I recall correctly, the BB to saddle height was in the neighborhood of 85cm.
