    FS: 2006 Cyfac Tigre-56cm $850

Here's a bike you'll rarely, if ever, see at a group ride. Cyfac is a small, high end frame builder in France.

To learn more about this amazing company, see their site here:

Expertly crafted bicycle frames. Carbon fiber, aluminum, steel and titanium custom framesets made in France | Cyfac

The Tigre model is no longer in the current model lineup. It was the second to the top model, the top being the Gothica 3 years ago. They offered it in stock geometry ($4599) and custom ($5495). This frame is a stock geometry version.

While known for their stunning paint work, this one is a very understated look in clearcoated carbon with white accents. All logos and features are sprayed on, not decals.

Geometry is mostly standard for a 56cm frame. 73deg parallel, 56cm ctc top tube. The headtube is taller than is common for this size frame at 16cm. Because of the extra height here, the steerer has been cut to allow the stem at it's lowest position. There is no room for spacers.

Pez did a great tech review of the bike that you can read about the many details of the frame here:

The bike has definitely been ridden (only by me though) but is in excellent condition and is priced accordingly. There are a few things to note:

    1) A chain suck incident left a rather large gouge in the drive side chain stay. The clear is rather thick here so it looks worse than it is. The carbon appears to be undamaged and has been this way for 2 or so years.

    2) I had issues with the rear brake mounts coming loose. The factory version only had a single pop rivet at the center of the mount.
Both had become loose so I machined new ones with considerably more surface area and 2 pop rivets per mount. The clear coat was removed around the mount outline, the new mounts expoxied and secured with 2 pop rivets. These have been on the bike for 2 years with no issues.

    3) There are several other small chips in the clearcoat. One on the back edge of the fork (drive side), one small mark on the top tube non-drive side near the middle, and one light spot near the seat tube-bottom bracket junction.

I've included a picture of the complete bike for reference only. I am not selling a complete bike, just frame, fork, headset and seat clamp.

The frame/fork/headset were $4599 new. $850 plus $45 shipping in the CONUS only. No out of country sales. Pay via paypal.

If you're even mildly interested, contact me. I am moving soon and don't want to pack this.
