Default 59 cm Spectrum Cycles Frame and Fork Tom kellogg

Spectrum Cycles frame and fork 59 cm top tube (center to center)

My brother in law was going to keep this for himself but decided against it. Unfortunately I am not tall enough to ride this, but my brother called this the best handling and most nimble frame he has even ridden. Anyway, it was bought from a collector. It is from 1989 and according to TK is a repaint as well--Absolutely stunning paint job. Since the repaint it has been ridden sparingly. It has a few marks here and there but nothing of major consequence. I am not sure of the angles but as some others have said, "The right ones." Or I can get you the serial number and you can ask TK.

The other measurements that I am getting are the following:

59 cm top tube (center to center)
61 cm seat tube center of BB to center of seat tube
    18.5 cm top tube
    Fork is 1" threaded
And rear spacing is 130 mm

Offering it vsalonistas for $1000 shipped in the US. I will donate 4% of the sale to the vsalon as well. If you want to see a lot of pictures I can send them to you as well. Additionally 10% of all profits from any bike part sale go to edukenya.org which is one of the best non profits/charities around.

Disturbed and TooTall ride bikes for giants; this is just a bike for regular-sized people.

    By which I mean me.

Phenomenal bike and you are correct the dimensions are for a tall standard issue human not a giant ape like myself ;)
T.K. is one of the most accomplished builders in the world and these bikes will never disappoint.

Agreed on the sizing, this isn't a 67.75 top tube that those giants from narnia ride. Pretty standard 59 cm. I am/was VERY disappointed in my brother in law (who does fit this) for not taking this bike I should add. I wanted to keep it around just to look at, but he is confused about what "light" means and crabon is (at least when built by cervelo).

Um, stupid question. Is this steel or the first lugged ti bike I can remember seeing?

Yes, Steel, sorry I should have clarified. Steel fork as well (made by spectrum).

Lugged Ti, now that is an interesting question...

Nice... just a shade too big for me.

    Curious: what kind of tubing?

Beautiful bike. If I did not already have a Kellogg 30th anniversary, I would be making an offer.

Bruce Gordon made two Ti lugged Carbon tube bikes, one for himself and one for an industry luminary. They are beautiful in a different way from this wonderful offering.

    Now that's a roman-sized frame.

Any detail on the fork crown race area, there?

No, nothing really going on at the fork crown. I need to add some pictures...

Some interest but no takers yet. Let's make it $900 shipped then.

Ok, need to make some room, so let's drop it down some more, $775 shipped (only in the US).

If you could make me 6" taller I'd gladly pay the original asking price.

It's gotta fit somebody -- I know that the used market can be fickle, but that's a heck of a nice frame at a modest price.

What is the brake reach? What are the largest tires that will fit?

    Thanks - JTSR
