We are going with 7075 and getting them hard anodized. Kerry has done a few like this and he said they wear like iron. Hopefully they'll last a good long time.

You'll notice that the Campagnolo rings are not just a 110 bcd with an oblong hole for the behind-the-crankarm bolt. No way. These match the OE rings perfectly. The chain catch pin on the outer is in the correct place. The outers are pinned and ramped for what we hope will be great shifts.

135s are in the plan. We still have to do some fine measuring to see if there are any real differences between 10 and 11.

Zank, that 44 would have been perfect for my race Sunday. I was in the 46 for most of the race, except the climb which required me to shift. Then my FD stopped working alas.. I know I lost a few places!!

Mike you have a [well deserved] reputation as "the cross guy." If you don't mind could you speak to your take on cross geometry--specifically front-end geo? For example, are you a front-center guy or do the majority of your CX rigs end up close to a 72.5ish hta?
