Spent a couple of hours in the woods with the little beast. Very humbling conditions, took me about 90 minutes to find my mojo (and lose my toe warmers). A half inch of snow over waxy leaves, compounded by a steady mist. Slip-err-eeee.

Only saw one other tire track, but lotza footprints from hunters. Told them where the deer were but I don't think they had the gumption to get there.

My first and last experiment with self-timer. Mist + Avid discs = horn to announce your presence to hunter and game.
Equipment note: my new Special--ed Defroster shoes keep my toes warm, but pick up oak leaves as if I'm wearing golf spikes. Product managers for MTB stuff need to spend time in the New England woods and get to know the oak leaf.
