Epilogue - Took it past Conte's today in Ballston and the dude went in with the 10mm wrench. Seemed tight. Then he went to the D/A pedals with the 8mm wrench and they both seemed to take a bit of torque and tighten a bit. I guess one of them was rocking ever so slightly in the crank threads. They are new on this bike and that seems to have solved the problem.

Campagnolo's record of perfection on my bikes continues. It was not the U/T crank or bearings.

I didn't install them. This is on my Zank and I am without tools out here in DC. This folks is why I am leary of LBSs. They were not able to install a pair of pedals without a return visit. I refuse to take responsibility for this one. Unlike the one last year when I tried to turn it the wrong direction......

    This was the LBS wrench.

Called it. Where's the beer icon?

Glad it wasn't something worse. Thousands of miles on my UT crankset, including more than my fair share of legitimate downpours, and no bearing problems.
