[the bottle ride]

2012 was a year for a new single speed.

It rips.


2012 was the year I returned home to France see my father- 7 years is too long. Time finds a way to forgive.

Ladies love France.




It was pretty there.


The third annual bottle ride happened- people had fun.




Started painting more this year- Hope to follow in uncle Franks foot steps have a show by end of summer 2013.







Had some great days riding.

My respect for Mr Legstrong has grown- he races will Tilly and has a hot biker babe.

Everything else, including racing Downieville, Mt Ashland, etc was bullshit compared to those two rides.

All righty then. 2012--great year. Turned 60, lots of riding, starting with Sa Colobra in Mallorca:

Restored my '84 Richard Sachs for L'Eroica in Toscana. I remember going to Chester, CT, to meet Richard in the fall of '83 when most of you guys weren't born . . . .

Strade bianche--it's the washboard surface you gotta look out for on them. My advice.

I had a good year.

Just one photo. I've been trying to get my wife to ride since we first got married 15 years ago. No luck. This year, I realized her bike actually shifted like crap. And it was heavy. I stripped it and put on lightweight stuff. Magic. Now she wants a road bike, "something lower in the front so I am not in the wind so much." Riding in Italy is on the horizon.
