    Default new crankset suggestions?

Ugh. I just managed to strip the threads on the drive-side arm of my carbonlord cranks--the stupid self-extracting bolt ripped out of the crank, rather than pulling it off the axle, and I didn't notice that until it was too late. I'm assuming that, once I figure out how to get the arm off (gear puller?), the cranks will be toast. Not a tragedy since I got these cranks relatively cheaply, but a pain nonetheless.

So now I'm thinking about a new crankset for the bike. I'm tired of the octalink bbs anyway (with which i've had various problems) and am assuming that the newer bb system (external cups) must offer multiple advantages. What should I be looking for? What should I avoid? I'm inclined to go for 2007 or 2008 DuraAce or Ultegra, since the rest of the bike is Shimano DA9.

    Thanks for any advice.

159.95??? Cool tools, but I don't like my cranks that much, by about 139.95, in fact.
