If I found out a riding buddy was using that I'd punch him, just out of principle. Chain lube riffing on a f*cking perfume?! I'd pin his skinny butt to the floor and make him scream "Eddy Merckx."

You know what a good name for a chain lube would be? "Tchmil" or maybe "Le Blaireau." "Muur du Huy." Hardman shit. Cycling at it's toughest. A challenge.

I got some ChainL no5 for free with an e-bay purchase of a Jandd rack.

This stuff is thick, I use it on my commuter bike. It does have a really strong odor...

    Meh, its not very good.

First off.........is it :hahaha:queer (do not read anything into the use of this word, I am using it in Webster's context) to quote yourself?????

Anyway, I finally got around to using this stuff yesterday during a _post-rain shell road shortcut_ cleaing party.

I was ridng my fixed gear and it has been quite noisy from the transmission lately. I followed the directions on the bottle. Went for a test ride. Could barely hear the chain. IT'S MAGIC. Maybe. We'll see what happens in the course of a chain-heating ride but it seems like good stuff.

Are you other guys still using................it??

with a couple months of use i'm still finding it very stinky, a bit messy, and extremely effective. it's on 4 drivetrains and i've reapplied to just one of them...don't think i got it quite right the first time.

Damn, how'd you get by quoting the S site? Last couple of times I tried that I got bitch slapped so fast it made my head spin. Well, seems the slapper is MIA the last few days.....maybe that explains it!

e-richie: you need to make more sightings like this. the subtleties of hidden "rs" findings have been noticeably absent as of late.

    it's winter, you know....

this stuff is pretty awesome. I always boil a pot of water and take it off the stove, then drop the chain L in their and let it get thinner in the bottle. It goes on thinner this way so I don't waste any wiping it off into the bottle.... 1st post was definitely about lube...

    Default Chain-L rocks

Glad to hear erichie finally made it. This stuff makes your drivetrain silent like no other lube. I just got a new chain for my fixed gear and proceded to cover it in Chain-l. so quiet it's scary. It is thick and smelly and messy but it's the best especially in foul weather like a vermont winter. Hopefully no one is buying chain lube based on promises it will increase manliness.

    Since I've been using Chain-L #5 I've noticed a few things:

    water boils faster
    toast never burns
alway find a parking meter with time left on it
5 out of 7 lottery tickets are winners
sex at least twice a day (with a partner)

    good stuff
    it's changed my life
