Luxe Goods - I took the leap (not that leap)

Well, Hello there Mr. FedEx, what do you have for me today. Oh my, my first crabon wheels. What a big step this is for me.

My son wouldn't quit playing with them "bike, bike, bike, bike". Even when he saw the empty box ... "bike?". "Leave them alone son, the glue has the cure", so out in the garage they went.

Has anyone else had a damned time getting a campy 10spd cassette on a DT240? F'er won't go on, not even with all my body weight on it, a rubber mallet, and grease (i'm sure its campy). Wonder if I have an off hub body or two off cassettes.

Either way - Flux builds an awesome wheel. Can't wait to give these a spin.

Budget slightly greater stopping distances and you'll love 'em! ;-)

Very nice, and you'll for sure love them, but I'm surprised to hear about the trouble with the cassette. I've never had any trouble with campy stuff on dt freehubs, so my only guess is that maybe your cassette is a little wonked or maybe there's something amiss with the freehub.

Body weight, grease, hammers? Back off, son! Is it not a Shimano cassette body? Okay, you checked that. I'd let another set (qualifyed) of eyes take a look at it.

Flux is excellent to deal with, especially with buyers that can't quite make up their mind *ahem*.

Highly recommended for all your bike and wheelgood needs!

Light grease and RUBBER mallets (used lightly) aren't all that bad. It's my body weight that should be the concern. I've fit several cassettes on many different style of hubs. This straight-up won't fit. Might just be a fluke. I've had odder things happen. Flux is sending out another freehub body to see if that one fits better.

The boy is wondering why daddy spent his college fund on bike wheels. "Ride hard, son. You'll be a pro biker someday and won't need no stinkin' college."

Then sell them as almost new, never raced, never crashed to pay for the cost of books for a semester.

A friend just got the 44mm clinchers and can't quit raving about how much better they are than his 404s. Good wheels indeed.

Did you install the required Flux Capacitor? It's key.

Hrm. Found my issue. My Campy cassette has 8 "notches" on the top 3 cog splines (this is a Veloce).

The left cogset here is like mine ... I think Veloce and Centaur 10spd are all individual cogs so will have the same issue. I can't find anywhere in anything on the interwebs that states the DT 240 isn't compatible with these 10spd cassettes. I'll either have to get a Chorus or Record cassette or just get an 11spd group (which apparently all have the alum carriers).
