Default Katusha swims with the fishes

Saxo-Tinkof was expected not to get the nod, but then, all of a sudden- much to the surprise to the team itself, Katusha is out and Saxo-Tinkof is in in.

Eki going down in the upcoming Bruyneel testimony??

I was thinking for a second whether or not being part of MPCC may have played a role or not. Katusha is not a member, but looks like neither is Saxo Bank, so that doesn't seem to be it.

Now I am curious if there will be an exodus from Katusha. Rodriguez to Movistar?

i know picking up that special ed paycheck is going to help, but losing your custom component line might hurt a bit.

Cav will ride Simplex as long as he has tour sprint train built for his service.

If Vaughters wants to hire a midget I'd totally be going after Rodriguez and not Leipheimer.

As soon as Rogers signed with Saxo I figured they were good.

Is it really just sponsorship money at play here? I really do not see how Katusha was beat out by the lower-ranked and less-well-funded FDJ.
This is my substitute for pistol and ball. With a philosophical flourish Cato throws himself upon his sword; I quietly take to the bike.

Oh yes, the UCI has such a long and distinguished history of taking a strong stand against the use of performance enhancing drugs....

I wonder if this has anything to do with a behind-the-scenes Tinkoff-Makarov grudge match? Follow the money and all will be revealed...

Ekimov? He's general manager of Katusha now. Might be part of the UCI motivation?
